Tour to Amano-Hashidate
天橋立旅行

Because of the typhoon, we had to change the sea-bathing plan.
Instead, we went to a famous sightseeing spot "Amano-Hashidate"!
18 participants were from China, Malaysia, Mongolia, Russia, Japan, and so on.
Participants includes the 4 members of Osaka University Coop Foreign Students Committee.
台風の影響で、海水浴の予定を変更しました。
代わりに、「天の橋立」という観光名所に行ってきました。
参加者は18人で、中国、マレーシア、モンゴル、ロシア、日本などの学生です。
参加者には、大阪大学生協留学生委員会からの4人のメンバーも含まれていました。

This is the "Amano-Hashidate". It has been said that this road leads to heaven, for the blue sea looks like the blue sky and the road looks like a bridge. これが、天の橋立です。神の国に通じる橋と言われています。それは、海の青色が空に見えて、道が橋に見えるからです。

It took us around 3-4 hours from Koto City to "Amano-Hashidate". We would really like to thank drivers! Everyone looks happy in the car, but many of them were actually exhausted and sleepy. 車で、京都市から天の橋立まで、3,4時間かかりました。運転手の方々、本当にありがとうございました。車ではみんな楽しそうに見えますが、実はとても疲れて眠たそうでした。

Here we are at the "Amano-Hashidate"! Participants including I were so happy that as soon as arrival they began to take a lot of pictures. やっと、天の橋立に着きました。みんな、うれしさのあまり、到着してから写真ばかり撮っていました。

Before the typhoon came, we soon began to swim and play in the sea. It was 7:00 a.m.! Too early! No one else was to be seen. 台風が来る前に、海で泳いだり遊んだりしました。何と、午前7:00頃です。早すぎました。他には誰もいませんでした。

After that, we did split the watermelon and we ate it, and the took a hot spring bath. Sorry but we don't have the images. 実は、この後、スイカ割りをしたり、温泉に入ったりしたんですよ。画像は用意していませんが。

The tour this time was disturbed by the typhoon, but we think we had a good time there and are planning other events or activities to have a good communication.
We would really like to thank every participants!
今回の旅行は、台風で上手くいかなかったこともありましたが、今後も皆さんと交流できる場を作りたいと考えています。

Go swimming in the ocean!! We're going to SHIRAHAMA (a famous site for sea bathing!!) We have lots of events there. We're looking forward for both foreign and Japanese students!! 夏だ!!海へ泳ぎに行きましょう！ 目的地は和歌山県の白浜です。 行事も盛りだくさん!! 留学生も日本人もどしどしご応募下さい。

参加費(participant fee)	3000円 一泊二食込み、交通費込み 8日の朝食、8日の昼食、9日の昼食は除く 3000 yen including room charge, transportation fee, dinner for 8th, and breakfast for 9th, excluding breakfast for 8th and lunch for 8th and 9th.

さて、これからますます夏真っ盛りになっていくわけですが、夏といえば、そう、「海」ですよね。というわけで私たち留学生委員会は8月に海へ遊びに行くこ と（イベント有り）を企画しました。費用は1人3000円（宿泊費、交通費、7日の夕食、8日の朝食）で、雨天の場合でも私たちはゲーム大会、京大附属水 族館見学、温泉などを企画しています。この企画は国際交流を深めるのが目的なので、日本人も留学生も大歓迎です。私たちと一緒に夏を楽しみましょう。集合 は8月7日(木)の23時に京都大学の正門前で、解散は9日の夜に同じく京大正門前です。参加希望者は下記メールアドレスに名前、国籍、電話番号、性別を 書いて送ってください。

Now, summer is just around the corner, and that means it’s time to think about the beach! So we are going to have Swimming Camp in Shirahama, which will cost 3000 yen per person (including accommodation fee, traveling fee, dinner, breakfast). In case of rain, we will have games, visit Kyoto University Aquarium and hot spring, and so on. We are welcoming both Japanese and international students. Let’s enjoy happy summer! “Yoshida Nihongo Gakusyu TomonoKai”
Don’t you have difficulty understanding or speaking Japanese? Or isn’t there anyone who has that kind of troubles? If your answer is “YES”, we will introduce you the voluntary group called “Yoshida Nihongo Gakusyu Tomonokai”. They have been giving cordial introduction in Japanese to foreign students who don’t speak Japanese at all. Of course you don’t have to worry about money. So if you want to learn Japanese or if you have such friends, please let us know by e-mail.

バーベキュー（6月21日（土）、雨天順延）
ついに鬱陶しい梅雨の季節がやって来ました。毎日むしむしして憂鬱になりますね。私達は皆さんのそんな憂鬱な気分を吹っ飛ばすべく6月21日の土曜日に バーベキューパーティーを開きます。そこで新たな友達を作り、みんなとわいわいやることによって気分もリフレッシュされることでしょう。こちらもサッカー と同様、留学生、日本人学生を問わず、どなたでも参加頂けます。ちなみに雨天の場合は翌週の28日に延期です。詳しくは私達のホームページに載っています のでそちらも御覧になってください。みなさんの参加をお待ちしています。

Soccer Tournament (June 18th:in case of rain, it will be canceled)
We will hold a Soccer Tournament on 18th of this month (Wednesday) which is the anniversary of the establishment of Kyoto University. We welcome foreign students as well as Japanese students regardless of sex in order to promote international communication. We are looking forward to your participation. The meeting time is 13:30, and the meeting place is the staircase of Kyoto University Gymnasium Hall.
Barbecue(June 21st: in case of rain, it will be postponed until June 28th)
The gloomy rainy season has come. It is very hot and humid everyday, and it makes you feel melancholy, doesn’t it? We will have a barbecue party on 21st of June (Saturday) in order to blow off your melancholic mood. Get refreshed, make new friends and have fun with them there. As Soccer Tournament, we welcome not only foreign students but also Japanese students. We are always providing the latest information on our website, so please check it as well. We didn't imagine this would attract more than 70 students!
私たちが想像した以上の、70人以上の学生が参加してくれました。

Participants who came at the first stage prepared the meal. As time goes by, there were more and more participants! Every students enjoyed eating, talking, and .... This party lasted for as long as 5 hours!! We hope this party helped you meet a lot of friends. 参加者のうち、初めの方に来た人達が、食事の準備をしました。 時間が経つごとに、どんどん参加者が増えました。 みんな、食べたり、話をしたりして、とても楽しんでいました。 何と、このパーティーは、5時間もの間、続きました！！ このパーティーで、皆さんが、沢山の人と出会えたことと思います。

This is a table for vegetarians. Meat not accepted. But why vegetarians at a barbeque party? こちらは、菜食主義者専用の席です。 肉は禁止です。 しかし、何で、菜食主義者が、焼肉パーティーに参加しているの？
