Hello,
We are Kyoto University Foreign Student Committee. As usual, on the last Friday of October, we are going to hold Welcome Party for international students. You can enjoy delicious meal, talking with students from different countries, and we will also prepare some funny games. You can get wonderful prize if you win those games.
In this party, not only foreign students but Japanese students are also welcomed to join in because the purpose of the party is to promote friendship between Japanese and foreign students.
For Japanese students, you can make a lot of friends from different countries and regions. It will be a very valuable experience and you can hardly have such an experience without joining this party.
For international students, joining this party is the best way to get to know about Japan and to make friends both from Japan and from other countries.
You don’t have to mind if you are a new student or not, every one who is a student in Kyoto University can join it !

Date: October 31st(Friday), PM6:30~PM8:30 (reception begins at 6:00PM)

Participation Fee: Free for new international students(enrolled in Kyoto University from this October), 500yen for others

It's different from the party for new students. We will divide the participants into several family and in each family we have the father, mother and the children sitting together and talking.What's more, we'll also prepare delicious food,special drink and gifts for everyone.We believe this offers you an opportunity to make friends with new people and have deeper insights into another culture. If you are an international student, you will have the chance of communicating with native Japanese. And of course we sincerely welcome Japanese who are interested in foreign culture and people.
Since this is a special party, the fee is 1500yen for each person,no exceptions. However, we made three price plans so that more people can take part in the party easily. Details are as follows:
Plan 1: 1200yen for each person as a discount for a group of 5 people
Plan 2: 1300yen for each person as a discount for a group of 3 people
Plan 3: 1500yen for each person if you make a reservation only for yourself.

Everyone who comes to Japan meets something that surprises them, something strange, unusual, or just incredibly beautiful, something they never met in their home countries.
This time we’re holding a contest of interesting photos taken by foreign students.
Why don’t you share your observations with others?
How to take part: Send a photo with a little description to fsc1996@gmail.com. Also, write your name and nationality.
Deadline: June 30th
Winners Selection: All photos will be uploaded on Facebook page of Foreign Students Committee. 10 photos that get the highest number of “likes” will be hung in school canteens. The winner will be chosen by voting.
